15 new UAE rules and restrictions during Ramadan
DUBAI – UAE authorities have announced strict guidelines for those planning to distribute free food during Ramadan to ensure that protective measures are in place. It is prohibited for individuals and companies to distribute meals. All meal distribution or donations should be done through approved charity organisations only. ALSO READ: Donating to unlicensed charities can cost you Dh500,000 Authorities also warned people against distributing iftar meals in front of their homes, at mosques or any other place. Exchanging of food is also discouraged. According to the Dubai Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, the preventive measures are “critical in creating a safe environment”. The committee urged the public to avoid any large gatherings, including majlis and family gatherings during Ramadan. The elderly and chronically ill are urged to refrain from any public exposure.
