Hong Kong model found butchered over financial dispute

The Hong Kong Police charged four people, including the ex-husband, with murder after the body parts of the missing 28-year-old model Abby Choi was found dismembered and put inside a refrigerator. The gruesome case followed when the police discovered Choi's body and documents after she had been missing for four days. Dismembered, some of her body parts were stored inside the refrigerator. Several ribs, hair, and human tissues were also found in the cooking pots. The police discovered her skull inside a pot in a village home in Tai Po district, a suburban part of Hong Kong closer to the border with mainland China. A meat slicer, an electric saw, and some clothing were also found at the village home. According to Superintendent Alan Chung, Choi had a financial dispute involving tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars with her ex-husband and his family. Chung added that "some people" became unhappy with how the model handled her financial assets. On Monday (February 27), Choi’s ex-husband Alex Kwong, 28, his brother Anthony, 31, and their father, Kwong Kau, 65, were charged with murder. Alex Kwong’s mother Jenny Li, 63, was also charged with perverting the course of justice. Abby Choi was a model and influencer with more than 100,000 followers. According to the police, Choi was first reported missing on Wednesday (February 22) and was last seen in the Tai Po district, where she was found dismembered. RZSP/Expat Media
