MANILA - Religious group Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) announced on Tuesday (May 3) its official endorsement of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte in the May 2022 Philippine elections. Marcos is running for president while Duterte is running for vice president in the May 9 polls. Both candidates are leading the Pulse Asia voter surveys in April, with Marcos scoring 56 percent compared to rival Leni Robredo, who scored 23 percent. Duterte led the vice presidential survey with a score of 55 percent. INC is also endorsing the senatorial bid of Jejomar Binay, Alan Peter Cayetano, JV Ejercito, Guillermo Eleazar, Chiz Escudero, Jinggoy Estrada, Sherwin Gatchalian, Loren Legarda, Robin Padilla, Joel Villanueva, Mark Villar and Migz Zubiri. According to INC, the decision after “thorough study and research.” The group has approximately 2.6 million members who are known to support their group's political endorsements. CAM/Expat Media
