PCR test no longer mandatory for vaccinated travelers in Dubai

Fully vaccinated travelers arriving in Dubai will no longer need to undergo PCR tests prior their flight, after the National Emergency, Crisis, and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) in Dubai scrapped the requirement on February 26. Fully vaccinated travelers will only need to present their vaccine certificate along with a readable QR code, while unvaccinated travelers are required to show a negative PCR test conducted within 48 hours of departure or proof of a COVID recovery complete with a QR code highlighting they've recovered from COVID-19 within a month of the date of travel. NCEMA also announced that close contacts of COVID-19 positive cases who are not experiencing any symptoms are no longer required to quarantine. Wearing of mask outdoors is also optional throughout the UAE, however, wearing face masks indoors is still going to be observed. As of February 27, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the UAE has reached 879,368 while total recoveries stand at 823,470. The death toll has risen to 2,301. JMS/ Expat Media
