No rapid PCR test for India, Pakistan travelers to Dubai

  DUBAI – Passengers arriving in Dubai from India and Pakistan will no longer need to take a rapid PCR test at the airport prior to their flight to the emirate starting on Tuesday (February 22). Authorities have reportedly sent a circular to airlines and travel agencies that did not specify a requirement for passengers to undergo rapid PCR test at the airport within six hours prior to their flight. The new rule applies to passengers traveling to Dubai from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Flydubai and Pakistani airlines have confirmed receiving the new circular. Under the new rule, however, the passengers will need to show a negative PCR test result taken without 48 hours prior to their flight. They must also under a PCR test on arrival in Dubai.
