Second Covid-19 vaccine shots at Dubai centre rescheduled
DUBAI – Residents due to take their second dose of Covid-19 vaccine at Dubai Parks and Resorts this weekend will need to reschedule their appointments. According to the Department of Health Abu Dhabi, the second dose of the vaccine will only be available during weekdays and not during the weekend. Second doses of Covid-19 vaccines at Dubai Parks & Resorts will be given by appointment during the week, health officials said. This came after the major vaccine centre reopened on Sunday (February 14) after closing on Friday and Saturday. Health officials said the centre will close again this weekend. The centre will resume its seven-day service from February 21. Some Dubai residents have reported being turned away for vaccination during the weekend. On February 6, the Ministry of Health and Prevention announced that Covid-19 vaccination will prioritise more vulnerable groups, including the elderly and people with chronic diseases, over the next six weeks.
