UAE announces 7 exemptions from Covid-19 vaccine

  DUBAI – The Ministry of Health and Community Protection has announced seven categories of people who are exempt from having the Covid-19 vaccine.

Those exempted from getting vaccinated are:

- Covid-19 patients - Clinical trial volunteers - Pregnant women - Those vaccinated outside UAE - Anyone with severe sensitivity to vaccines or vaccine components - Patients with disease that may conflict with vaccine. Medical evaluation required - Recovered Covid-19 patients. Doctor’s report required Those who qualify can get exemption certificates from accredited centres, clinics and hospitals. The physician who evaluates the request for exemption will submit the medical report to health authorities for approval, afterwards applicants will receive a text message on the status of their request. The exemption status will show on the Al Hosn app. There are currently four vaccines allowed in the UAE: Sinopharm, Pfizer-BioNTech, Oxford-AstraZeneca and Sputnik V. ICA/Expat Media
