UAE approves new residence visa for retired expats

  DUBAI – The UAE Cabinet approved a new residence visa for retired expats on Tuesday (November 9). The new visa scheme was approved during a meeting chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The new residence visa will allow expatriates to stay in the UAE after they retire. Details about the new visa are expected to be announced soon. Since 2018, the UAE has launched a series of new long-term visas aimed at retaining talent and investors in the country. This includes the Golden Visa that allows holders to stay in the country for ten years, as well as a five-year residence visa for foreign students in the country.
