UAE reports highest number of daily Covid-19 cases

  DUBAI – The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention reported the country’s highest number of Covid-19 infections in a day at 1,315 on Tuesday (October 13). This is the UAE’s highest daily tally so far, with 1,452 more people who recovered in 24 hours. Two more deaths from Covid-19 were also reported, raising the death toll to 448. The figures came as the UAE conducted nearly 97,000 new Covid-19 tests in 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests to more than 11 million. There are currently 8,153 active coronavirus cases in the UAE. Since January, the UAE has recorded 108,608 Covid-19 cases, out of which 100,007 have recovered from the virus.
