Abu Dhabi to beef up security and traffic flow throughout Eid Al Fitr holidays

During the Eid Al Fitr holidays, the Abu Dhabi Police have increased security and civil patrols on the highways to keep traffic flowing smoothly around business centers, markets, and public parks. Traffic patrols will be deployed on all streets across the emirate, as well as all intersections, vital areas, and places that will witness heavy traffic and gatherings, according to Brigadier General Mohammed Dhahi Al Himiri, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, as part of their safety plan. He emphasized that the police are working to attain the greatest levels of road safety and to instill comfort and tranquillity in motorists' hearts by maintaining a constant field presence to ensure smooth traffic flow. The officer advised parents and families not to let their children play near roads or cross streets without adult supervision. Young drivers have been reminded to act responsibly on the roads and not to take advantage of the Eid festivities to commit violations or engage in dangerous and irresponsible behavior such as road stunts and racing.
