Filipina reported missing in Dubai found
DUBAI – A Filipina whose family reported her missing in Dubai has been found, according to the Philippine Consulate’s Assistance to Nationals (ATN) section. The daughter of Maria Luisa Garcia Guevarra, 50, had reached out to Expatmedia.net on Tuesday (June 9) after they couldn’t contact her for more than a week. Sam, 25, from Malabon City in the Philippines said she started to worry after she was not able to contact her mother following their last online conversation on May 29. “She sent me a link to a job post because I have just resigned from work,” Sam recalled, adding that she could no longer contact her on her mobile phone after that. She said her mother, who works as a household helper in Dubai, does not have any relatives in the UAE. Later on Tuesday, in an email to Sam, a copy of which was seen by Expatmedia.net, the ATN said her mother has been located and that a team will visit her as soon as possible.
