Filipino repatriation flight from Dubai scheduled this month

  DUBAI – A third repatriation flight for Filipinos in distress in the UAE is scheduled on June 30, the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai announced on Sunday (June 20). The repatriation flight, arranged by the Department of Foreign Affairs, follows a repatriation flight on June 16 that brought home 325 distressed Filipinos. According to the Philippine Consulate General, those who require repatriation assistance in Dubai and the Northern Emirates must register in the online form here. They can also contact the Assistance to Nationals (ATN) sections at the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.

The cases must be cleared in order to be included in the repatriation flight. Those who have incurred fines for overstatying their visa will need to settle the fines with the UAE immigration at least three hours before their repatriation flight. Pregnant women must be not more than 34 weeks pregnant prior to their flight in order to be allowed to board the plane, and must present a copy of their ultrasound report, a doctor’s certificate indicating they are fit to travel, and an printed and signed copy of the doctor’s accomplished Expectant Mothers Information Sheet by Philippine Airlines.
