Girl swallows mobile phone during dispute with brother

An 18-year-old girl in India swallowed her cell phone during a fight with her brother. News outlets were informed of the family dispute in the Bhind area of Madhya Pradesh, India, by a doctor who conducted the emergency surgery. The girl decided to end the fight by swallowing the Chinese-made cell phone when the siblings were reportedly fighting over it. The girl was subjected to CT scans, X-rays, and ultrasounds. Following an endoscopic procedure, it was decided that they could only remove the phone surgically. According to Chief Surgeon Dr. Naveen Kosoh, the team retrieved the phone from the patient's body after two hours of operation. After removing the phone, which required 10 suture stitches, the teen's condition remained stable, and she could go home once cleared. KD/Expat Media
