Big Ticket UAE warns of fake prize scammers targeting residents

  DUBAI – Organisers of Big Ticket have warned UAE residents of scammers posing as representatives to dupe victims into giving their personal information. Big Ticket is the UAE’s longest running raffle draw, and have made thousands of people multi-millionaires since the monthly draws began in 1992. In a recent warning, Big Ticket organisers told customers to refrain from providing personal information to anyone claiming to be a Big Ticket representative. “Dear customers, please do not provide any personal information to anyone who represents themselves as parties from Big Ticket or Abu Dhabi Duty Free claiming that you have won a prize,” according to an announcement. Customers were advised to verify that they won a prize if they purchased a Big Ticket raffle ticket through official outlets or through www.bigticket.ae. “If you're a lucky winner, your name and your raffle ticket number are shown on our official website's winner list under news and updates tab,” according to Big Ticket. “Your security and trust are very important to us.
