Christine Dacera case to be turned into movie? Lolit Solis reacts

  MANILA – As investigation continued into the controversial death of flight attendant Christine Dacera, entertainment veteran Lolit Solis reacted to a report that the case will be turned to a movie. In an Instagram post, Solis said that the case should be solved before any negotiation is made on turning Dacera’s life story into a movie. “Nahihilo na nga ang lahat sa mga naglalabasan issues, mga side stories, mga subplot, tapos gagawin agad pelikula? Para bang baka mawala ang focus sa investigation (The issue has spawned a lot of side stories and subplots and they want to make it into a movie? They might lose focus on the investigation),” Solis said. The erstwhile talk show host said it was “too early to talk about the project” because investigation is still ongoing. “Dapat matahimik muna ang kaluluwa ni Cristine, ma satisfy ang pamilya sa resulta, kung talagang may krimen managot ang may sala, at kung wala naman, absuwelto sa mga pinagbintangan. Bigyan muna natin ng closure (Christine must find peace, her family must be satisfied with the result, and if a crime was committed, then the perpetrator must pay. On Sunday, Philippine Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said the Philippine National Police (PNP) will share with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) evidence gathered in the case. Guevarra said the NBI will finalize its investigation within the week after receiving all the evidence on Monday (February 15) and submit its final report to the Department of Justice. Dacera died on New Year’s day after a party with friends at City Garden Hotel in Makati City. She was found unresponsive in the hotel bathtub. Police initially charged three suspects with rape with homicide. The tio were later released due to insufficient evidence. Dacera's mother insists her daughter was raped.
