Dubai Airport announced that only public transport and authorised vehicles will have access to Arrivals forecourt starting June 8. The measure was taken to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow in the area. Residents and visitors can use car parks or valet services when receiving guests at the Arrivals area. The airport has introduced a new parking system that allows motorists to book their parking space on the Dubai Airports website. The Dubai Airport also introduced other initiatives to improve passenger flow, including a new smart tunnel with facial recognition to speed up passport control for passengers. A new baggage tracking system through a mobile app also allows passengers to track their luggage from check-in to airport departure. ICA/Expat Media
