UAE weather: Heavy rains, hailstorms to continue until Sunday

Heavy rains, hailstorms hit UAE

Due to the unstable weather conditions, several places in the UAE experienced rains and hailstorms with a drop in temperature. This will continue until Sunday (March 5). Around 3:45am UAE local time, Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah recorded the lowest temperature of 11.6 degrees celsius on Thursday (March 2). The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) urged people to be cautious during the heavy rainfall and strong winds in some eastern and northern areas. NCM said that this would cause a reduction in horizontal vision. People should also avoid flooded areas. Hail and light to moderate rain fell throughout the UAE, including the following: — Mukhairez in Al Dhafra Region — Dibba and Al Bidya in Fujairah — Shaml, Al Nakheel and Al Dhait in Ras Al Khaimah — Al Maqtaa in Umm Al Quwain — Al Aweer and Al Warqa in Dubai — Al Dhaid, Mleiha, Al Batayeh, Al Hamriya and Dibba Al Hisn in Sharjah — Mushairef and Al Jurf in Ajman and other separate areas

Friday (March 3)

The NCM stated that the weather will be humid at night with a chance of fog or light fog in some inland and coastal areas. The weather is anticipated to be clear to partly cloudy in general. It will sometimes be cloudy with a chance of some cumulus clouds in the east and rainfall. While the ocean will have regular to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and moderate waves in the Sea of Oman, there will also be low to moderate winds.

Saturday (March 4)

The weather will mostly be clear to partly cloudy but may occasionally become cloudy, with a chance of cumulus clouds over some eastern regions. Light to moderate northeasterly to northwesterly winds will blow. Winds will turn active at times of 10 to 20 and up to 35 km/h. The Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will have regular waves.
