Abu Dhabi's typing centres have reduced their application fees to assist those seeking to benefit from the UAE’s latest amnesty program. The amnesty initiative, launched by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP), aims to make it easier for visa violators to regularize their status or leave the country without incurring penalties. Starting from September 1, the amnesty period provides multiple benefits, including exemption from administrative fines and fees related to visa and residency violations. Individuals can apply through the ICP's smart services or authorized typing centres without needing to visit service centres, except for biometric registration when required. As of now, the amnesty program is seeing a significant influx of applicants, with many centres in Abu Dhabi reporting a high volume of inquiries and submissions. The amnesty period extends until October 30 and offers an exceptional opportunity for those in violation to correct their legal status while avoiding legal and financial repercussions. Working hours at amnesty service centres where the biometric fingerprint is registered will be extended to 8pm throughout the grace period. The ICP called on individuals to contact 600522222 for further information on the amnesty application process.
