A spectacular grand parade swept through Downtown Dubai on December 31 (Wednesday), marking a historic first as the UAE ushered in New Year 2026. For the first time in Dubai’s history, elaborate floats and live performers paraded through the iconic district hours before the much-anticipated midnight fireworks at Burj Khalifa. The parade featured a vibrant mix of live entertainment, including acrobats, dance troupes and performers carrying giant illuminated lanterns. Eye-catching floats included a massive boat installation, a gigantic mobile bike track and a colourful Indian-themed float accompanied by a traditional dance troupe. The parade added to the festive atmosphere across the city, reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as one of the world’s most sought-after destinations for New Year celebrations.
