Dubai New Year’s Eve 2026: Road closures around Burj Khalifa announced

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has released a detailed road closure schedule ahead of the New Year’s Eve 2026 celebrations at Burj Khalifa, as safety and crowd control measures are put in place. Road closures will begin as early as the afternoon of December 31 (Thursday) and will be implemented gradually as crowds increase.

• 4pm - Al Asayel Street - Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard - Burj Khalifa Street - Financial Centre Street (Lower Deck) - Al Mustaqbal Street (between Financial Centre Street and Trade Centre Street) • 8pm - Al Sukook Street • 9pm - Financial Centre Street (Upper Deck) • From 11pm - Sheikh Zayed Road (between Al Meydan Road and Trade Centre Roundabout)

Parking and transport alternatives

Motorists are advised to park at Al Wasl Club or Al Kifaf, where free public buses will ferry visitors to and from the event area. Additional parking will be available at: • Emaar District (over 20,000 parking spaces) • Dubai Mall • Dubai Mall–Zabeel • Dubai Mall–Fountain View • Boulevard Lower Parking Parking is strictly prohibited on Al Khail Road, Sheikh Zayed Road, and other major roads surrounding the event venue. Shuttle buses will operate throughout the area, and free public buses will run after the fireworks to metro stations, taxi ranks, and parking zones.
