Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, welcomed 2026 by sharing an inspiring New Year message alongside a video of the spectacular fireworks at Burj Khalifa. Posting on social media, Sheikh Hamdan congratulated the UAE’s leadership and people on the New Year, expressing optimism, ambition and unity for the year ahead. “We congratulate the leadership of the United Arab Emirates and our dear people on the occasion of the New Year 2026, and we ask Allah to make it a year of goodness, growth and prosperity, and that the world is blessed with security, peace and stability,” he said. He added that the UAE would continue building on its achievements to shape a better future for coming generations, emphasising that the nation’s values, unity and limitless ambitions remain its greatest strengths.
