Dubai authorities have announced that all public beaches will be reserved exclusively for families during the peak New Year celebration period. From 3pm on December 31 (Wednesday) until 6pm on January 1 (Thursday), access to public beaches — including Jumeirah and Umm Suqeim — will be limited to families only, as part of measures aimed at ensuring safe and orderly festivities. Security personnel will be deployed across all designated beach areas to manage crowds and maintain public safety during the celebrations. In support of family-friendly festivities, Dubai Municipality also confirmed that 14 public parks will extend operating hours until 1am, providing alternative spaces for residents to gather and enjoy the New Year atmosphere.
