The Ministry of Foreign Affairs alerts the public about fake calls imitating the authority. The ministry urged the residents to be more cautious when receiving these calls to avoid falling victim to these fraudulent scams. The ministry also advised the public to only contact them through this official number (00971 800 44444) and emergency number (00971 80024). How to avoid becoming a victim of these fraudulent calls? A major red flag in these fake calls is when they ask for sensitive personal details like your account number, Emirates ID, email address, or a one-time password from your bank.
